Riccardo Biale joined Rimorchiatori Riuniti in 1992 as General Manager and Board Member, his main focus was to coordinate and develop Finance&Administration, Reporting, Corporate affairs, New Initiatives and the group subsidiaries.
He contributed to the acquisition of Acquedotto De Ferrari Galliera , as well as of Tug Malta, Gesmar and Rimorchiatori Augusta, from both the Financial side and the commercial one.
Furthermore he contributed to implement a corporate governance (IFRS, systems and procedures ) up to the requirements of a stock listed company.
From 2007 he is Executive Director and CFO.
Between 1989 and 1992 he was Managing Director of Motovespa S.A. a joint venture between Piaggio&C Spa and Banco Hispano Americano ( now Santander ) third European manufacturer of two wheelers based in Madrid, after Piaggio itself and Peugeot ( work force of about 1000 people ) where he contributed to development and production in Spain of the Zip model later well know also in Italy.
Between 1977 and 1989 he joined the International Industrialization Division of Piaggio&C Spa where he contributed to the development of the licencees especially in the Far East as Manager first and as Deputy General Manager of Columbus Engineering when the Division became a separate company in 1986.
Initially between 1974 and 1977 he started his activity in Fincantieri (Riva Trigoso) shipyard.
He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Genoa.
