Giovanni Bravo was born in Genoa on August 21, 1974.
He graduated with honours in Law at the University of Genoa in 1998 and was admitted to the Bar in 2001.
He holds a LLM at Cambridge University (2002-2003), where he was also lecturer of Comparative Business Law at the Anglian Polytechnic University.
He often lectures at legal seminars on commercial law matters and in particular on debt restructuring.
He is Partner of the law firm Cristoffanini & Associati and head of the Milan Office.
Mr. Bravo has an extensive professional experience in different legal fields as follows.
Corporate law, assisting companies with regard to their incorporation, the structuring of their corporate governance, the organisation of and participation to the meetings of the corporate bodies, the delegation of functions and powers by the board of directors and the drafting of Organization and Management Models pursuant to the Legislative Decree 231/2001 (concerning criminal liability of legal persons), as well as their liquidation.
Extraordinary Transactions, encompassing the completion of numerous acquisitions (including companies operating in, among others, local public services, large scale retail distribution, insurance and health care services, terminal activity, electromechanical, real estate), mergers and demergers (including holding companies and companies operating in real estate, manufacturing, transportation, shipbuilding, brokerage and expert evaluation services) and joint ventures (including national and international partnerships in various sectors);
Contracts, assisting and advising corporate clients on every kind of commercial contracts (such as, sales and purchase agreements, supply contracts, distribution agreements, sales agency agreements, mediation agreements, tender contracts, mandate agreements, partnership agreements, lease and financial leasing agreements, banking and insurance contracts);
Public/Private Partnership, advising Public Administrations and private entities with reference to the establishment and management of joint enterprises supplying local public services in the sectors of energy, water, gas, waste and local transports and with regard to projects financing deals;
Insolvency and Restructuring, including the assistance of a number of debtors in debt consolidation and restructuring agreements (involving holding companies, tourism and hospitality, real estate, shipping and shipbuilding) and in judicial procedures of composition with creditors, aiming to liquidate or continue the business (involving companies operating in the sectors of shipbuilding, construction, local public transport, manufacturing of semi-finished products, food, alternative energy, production and trading of coke and other commodities);
Complex Disputes, on corporate and bankruptcy law matters, environmental damages, public tenders, directors and officers liabilities and civil liability arising from offences and insurance law.
Mr. Bravo also held, and currently holds, offices in public and private companies and solidarity and sporting associations.
